The President of Microsoft Windows Phone Division, Andrew Lees, recently discussed the future of Windows at the 2011 Worldwide Partner Conference. Lees discussed Windows Phone 7 pricing, Windows 8 and microchips, and the use of a common user interface across all Microsoft operating systems and devices.
Windows Phone 7 provided the basis for the common user interface. Windows 8 will be built upon that same interface, along with Xbox and other devices. According to Microsoft, providing the user with ultimate experience–based upon those users’ expectations–is their number one goal.
